The Directors of the Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame would like to establish a permanent display of pictures reflecting sports and athletics in Glengarry, past and present. To that end we are asking for donations of pictures, either originals or copies, which could be part of this endeavour. Please include pertinent information such as who, when and where as well as any other facts of interest. Please include your name and address so that your contribution can be recognized. Pictures can be mailed to: The Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame Box 282, Maxville, Ontario, K0C 1A0 Alternitively, between May 16 and August 30, Wednesday to Sunday, 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. pictures could be dropped off at the Hall of Fame, located on the Maxville Faigrounds, Maxville, Ontario.

 The 2009 Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner will be held at the Alexandria Sports Arena on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009. Inductees and guest speaker will be announced through the Glengarry News throughout June and July. Tickets will be available after July 1, 2009 from any director, at Shepherd Motors, 83 Main Street, Alexandria (525-1402) or from Wednesday to Sunday between noon and 5:00 p.m. from the Sports Hall of Fame, Maxville , 527-1044. Tickets are also on sale at the Bank of Nova Scotia, Alexandria.

The G.S.H. of F. annual golf tournament will be held on June 20th, 2009 at the Alexandria Golf & Country Club. The cost will be $55.00 per person and the format will be "best ball". A tax receipt for $20.00 will be given. Members of the Golf Club will not be charged the Green Fee. Call Peggy at 525-4045 for details and to register. This is an important fund-raising activity as well as an enjoyable way to meet old and new friends. Past inductees are urged to get a team together and help us out.

Inductees for 2009 are Mike Depratto, Stanley Fraser, Robert Leroux, Ronald Joseph MacDonald and Laurent Ladouceur.They will be announced later through the Glengarry News. They will be inducted at the annual dinner on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, held at The Alexandria Sports Arena, Alexandria Ontario. Tickets are on sale after July 1st @ $30.00. Cocktails at 6:30 , dinner at 7:30. Call Rodney at 525-1402 or the Sports Hall at 527-1044 for tickets. All directors and The Bank of Nova Scotia, Alexandria also have tickets. See you there

 The summer display this year highlights the long and distinguished history of Broomball in Glengarry. Pictures, articles and artifacts are being collected and the display organized by the committee members, led by Glenda (Lauzon) Villeneuve. Stop in to see memorabilia and articles.

This year's lawn tractor draw will be held at Your Independent Grocer, Alexandria .
