The Directors of the Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame would like to establish a permanent display of pictures reflecting sports and athletics in Glengarry, past and present. To that end we are asking for donations of pictures, either originals or copies, which could be part of this endeavour. Please include pertinent information such as who, when and where as well as any other facts of interest. Please include your name and address so that your contribution can be recognized. Pictures can be mailed to: The Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame Box 282, Maxville, Ontario, K0C 1A0 Alternitively, between May 16 and August 30, Wednesday to Sunday, 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. pictures could be dropped off at the Hall of Fame, located on the Maxville Faigrounds, Maxville, Ontario.

The 2007 Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner will be held at the Char-Lan Arena on Wednesday, August 15th, 2007. Inductees and guest speaker will be announced through the Glengarry News throughout June and July. Tickets will be available after June 1, 2007 from any director, at Shepherd Motors, 83 Main Street, Alexandria (525-1402) or from Tuesday to Sunday between noon and 5:00 p.m. from the Sports Hall of Fame, Maxville , 527-1044

The G.S.H. of F. annual golf tournament will be held on June 23rd at Alexandria Golf & Country Club. The cost will be $55.00 per person and the format will be "best ball". A tax receipt for $20.00 will be given. Members of the Golf Club will not be charged the Green Fee. Call Peggy at 525-4045 for details and to register. This is an important fund-raising activity as well as an enjoyable way to meet old and new friends. Past inductees are urged to get a team together and help us out.

Inductees will be announced later through the Glengarry News and names will be posted at that time. They will be inducted at the annual dinner on Wednesday, August 15, 2007, held at the Char-Lan Arena in Williamstown). Tickets are on sale after June 1st @ $30.00. Cocktails at 6:30 , dinner at 7:30. The summer display this year highlights the long and distinguished history of Lacrosse in Glengarry. Pictures, articles and artifacts are being collected and the display organized by the committee members Brian Hope, Dane Lankin, Roch Lajoie, Danny O'Brien and B.J. McDonald. The official opening is at 10AM on May 26th. Try to attend.

This year's lawn tractor draw will be held at Dessureault Independent Grocer, Alexandria . Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 5 p.m. Last year the lucky winner of the model 125 John Deere Lawn tractor was BRIAN REASBECK of Williamstown. Ontario. Congratulations Brian.
